Ok, Sun am at work I started my jeep and moved it up onto a hill out of the way, it had been sitting in the same spot all night. not a big hill, drove maybe 150ft. As I was going up the engine light came on and I heard a ding. It was running normal, no sputtering, missing etc. I killed it, cranked it again, light came right back on. Had not been on long enough to get hot. I let it sit a while, same thing, light stays on all the time now. So later I went to Autozone and had them plug the code reader in. Guy said it's an emissions code, to check my vacuum lines, see if everything is tight and it could be from moisture. Well it's dry as a popcorn fart where I'm working, no rain, constant wind all week. Now it has been really cold and then got warm all of a sudden and everything had condensation on it yesterday morning but nothing out of the ordinary.
Ok, other strange thing. yesterday I noticed a greasy spot on my front pass side husky liner. Today, I think it's bigger. I felt all under the dash and everything is dry as far as I can tell. It almost looks like something is dripping on it. It's a clear, light greasy substance, little to no odor.
Any idea what could be causing either of these things? What vacuum lines could it be, what do I check first? Thanks for any help you can give me.
