Default Engine would not go over 2500 RPM in extreme hot weather

Anybody experienced no throttle response in extreme heat conditions, (weather was 109 but engine was not overheating) .... i.e. engine RPM would not increase over 2500 and no increase in engine sound even when throttle pedal is fully depressed.
I guess that would qualify as engine wouldn't go WOT under very hot weather.

Took it to Jeep service.... they couldn't diagnose anything....

JK is 2010 - stock - 3.8 - auto transmission.

Help please.

You know I too have an auto and to me I seem to have this issue as well. Here it has been in the high 90's, one time 104 at my school. The engine seems to struggle going higher speeds in the 2000 rpm range. But I am trigger happy with the overdrive button lol.

No problem here. I have driven in 110+ degree temps when I have to drive down to the valley... all summer long and no problems.

Noticed similiar issues. Been 105+ here the past few days, and I have to mash the throttle to get above 2500 RPMs. During the morning/night it goes away or with overdrive off.
