So I picked up my new 2008 Rubicon Unlimited tonight (4 hrs old) and my ESP/BAS light came on during the less than a mile drive home. I pick it up just as they were closing for the night. When I got home I shut it off for an 1/2 hr then started it again an the light was still on while the engine was running. It's going back in the morning. Has anyone had this problem with less than 10 miles on my Rubicon.

 

I think you probably got a blown fuse

 

Did you do anything to set it off? I've had mine light a couple times, and after a restart and some driving it would go off. If it's a persistent problem they might need to do a flash.

 

I didn't do anything. I drove it less than a mile under 40. I'm going back to the dealer today.

 

The light shut off on the way to the dealer. So I will keep my eye on it.
