Default ESP/BAS Light

ESP Light coming on everytime I take a turn. Taking the jeep over and having to control it until the light kicks off. Has since I bought it. So far.. I have had to have my wiring harness replaced and another braking recall fixed. I thought by fixing that recall would fix the freaking ESP from engaging, but I was wrong.

So yesterday .. making a right turn on a freeway on ramp. the ESP starts blinking and takes over the jeep. (as usual) then for the first time . .the idiot ESP BAS light comes on and stays on. All power was zapped from there until I got home. After waiting a few . I restarted, and after driving about a mile .. both lights went off. This is really starting to piss me off and the dealer can't reproduce the problem.

I think I will just go down and take him for the death turn myself, so he can see and feel it.

That is the thing.. No error code. Just the ESP warning light Jeep w/ swervy lines. .then yesteday the ESP idiot light staying on with the warning light. The button would not reset the the warning nor idiot light.

I searched for recalls and did find one that had to do with the ABS. Took it in.. they claimed to have reprogrammed per the recall, and sure enough . .first turn at a higher speed and it engages again.

I had mine come on and stay on when I parked the JK for 3 days and thought that there was something wrong until one morning the lights just turned off....now I allways dissable it when driving as I don't need to have it babysit me and it's fun driving on icy roads and do a little drifting......

Nope.. not a speed racer. well until I need to be. Have had a Jeep since 1984.. so not my first go round. It will not come on. .until you hit the breaks.. It must be something with the ABS sensors. There was already one recall on it for reprogamming the breaking module, so who knows what might pop up next.

Default Bummer

I'm having the problem all the sudden too- it started ever since this last weekend when I used it to haul wood up my property.

Though the light is on, the ESP isn't kicking in and taking over the vehicle.

I'm going to mess with it today and see if I can get it to go off.
...I like the battery un-hook idea.

If it wont- I guess I have to take it in.
