Default Expdition One - WTH?

It's been almost a year now and Expedition One STILL hasn't released thier Jerry can system. I'm beginning to regret my purchase.

Has anyone tried to fab up thier own carrier?

No doubt. I'm starting to regret my choice. At least AEV had all their parts ready to go to market when they started selling theirs.

I think I'm going to talk to Grant @ Jackalope and see if we can't rig something up. I'm meeting with him today or tomorrow anyway after I get my Jeep back from Axelboy to get a custom antenna bracket fabed up. I want to be able to hold two antennas vs. the one that comes on the Expo One bracket. I've STILL never replaced my CB.

I just emailed them 2 day ago. The reason sarah gave was...........

Chip,
Hi-lift jack is still available, I'll have to check the website and see
why it is not up. price is $69.99 coated.
We are working on resolving the CARB compliance so that we can resume
selling the cans in the US. We are working on variance with the EPA in
order to be able to legally sell the cans in all US states and provinces.
Until that issue has been worked out we had to place the mount systems on
hold. We hope to have resolution in the next few weeks and have mount
system shortly thereafter.

Thanks,

Or they could of built it to hold "water" cans and then when the carb issue is settled you add one word on the web page.

Does anyone have a pic or install instructions for the Hi Lift mount for the Expedition One? They didn't send me any and I just can't figure it out.

I've given up waiting. I've been patient with them for over a year and still no movement on this. It's been the same excuse forever. Their product quality is top notch and extremely durable but they seem to have a problem getting product to market. Maybe if they actually had pictures of what it is they have in mind then I'd be inclined to wait longer.

I'm going to consult with a local fabricator and have a custom rig built. I'll post up pictures when its done but right now after the accident it's lower on the priority list after fixing the JK and finally getting my stereo in before summer gets here. If I can get it done for less than $300 and use standard Jerry cans I'll be thrilled.
