F Consumer Reports!
I just opened the blinds on the bay window in my master bedroom because it faces the front of the house. And I can look at my JK while watching CNBC. I've had it for just a few days past a year, and just installed new tires, wheels and a 2.5" Rough Country BB. I'm in awe and in love with it. I wonder how many owners of those other vehicles in Consumer's Report feel and react the same way? How many are planning their next series of mod's as they stare at their pride and joy out in their driveway. How many are thinking, "Man, look at that snow out there. I sure hope we get enough to get it nice and muddy out at the lake!"?
That's the problem with Consumer's Report: It ignores that element of passionate pride in owning a vehicle as if it doesn't matter. But it does matter. To me. And I suspect to the overwhelming majority of the members of JK-Forum. We wouldn't be here if it didn't.
So, how do you quantify that? For me, after owning the JK for just past a year, it still puts a great big grin on my face every time I drive it. I don't care if CR gives it a 17 out of 100. It just doesn't matter. Remember: It's a Jeep. If you don't own one, you don't understand., They don't own one; they don't understand.
