Default Factory rubber

is it just me or does the factory tires really suck in the rain?

Driving yesterday, rain comming down pretty good, put on the brakes, tires lock up and slide about 10 feet. Was only going about 40 mph.

Tires have about 350 miles on them.

I've heard a lot of these complaints, but as of yet they haven't given me any trouble in the rain, only deep snow. Exactly what tires do you have?

4009 miles on mine and they are quite frankly dangerous for shedding water in even light/mild rain!

i didnt realise how bad they were till tonight but now they r a priority to change

lots of slipping, skidding and traction control going quite frankly nuts trying to stop the slide!

WHen I had the Sahara stock Bridgestone Duelers on my JK I did not think they did bad in the rain. I Did do some highway driving in some pretty big downpours with no problems.

The BFGoodrich MTs have given me some problems when it just starts raining or during ligh rain though.

The stock Rubi tires do slip a little from a stop in the rain sometimes...no surprise, they're not holding the pavement like a car tire. Meh.

On the other hand, I was pulling people around in deep snow last winter. Sounds like a fair trade to me.

I have the Stock 17" Wranglers and don't have any issues in rain. I did on my first set when they were over half worn. I didn't rotate the first time till over 10k and they were messed up. I replaced them and stayed with the wranglers so I only had to buy 3 and use the spare. Next time I will get something better offroad but I cannot complain about the stock wranglers.

Remember how much your jeep weights before judging in wet weather performance. I don't care what tires you buy, you Will hydroplane some.

I have had trouble with the sr-a's Hydroplaning as well as poor winter handling!
