Default factory V8 JK

Hopefully i'm putting this in the right section. Hey everyone, my name is Bob, I just joined this forum. I have a 2003 TJ Rubicon, which im considering starting a build on. My brother showed me this forum. he has a '12 rubicon unlimited. But heres my question: Does anyone know if Jeep is planning on doing an option for a V8 in their Wrangler platform? has anyone heard of any plans for this? the reason i'm asking is because i am considering doing an LS6 in my rubicon with 37's and a long arm home made lift. but if there will be a factory v8 option coming out, i assume leave my jeep the way it is and trade it in when the time comes. if i do an engine swap on mine i'm sure it will dramatically reduce my trade in value.

Not in the works. The new 3.6 is Jeeps new baby, I don't think they will be looking to do a v8 anytime soon.

They have been talking about putting a V8 in the Wrangler since I got my 97 Sport in late 96........so I'd say not likely. The 3.6 Pentastar has great power....blows both my Sport and Rubi TJs away in the power department.....

No Hemi platform for the Jeep Wrangler in the near future. Next upgrade they going to do is the 8 speed Auto Tranny in 2 or 4 years.

I've read some stuff that they may put in a diesel in the future but haven't heard any rumors about a V8.

8 speed? Is this serious? Maybe the ZF one?
This would be amazing with a diesel engine.

lol the 2007-11 JK's 3.8 has more horsepower than any of the 304's they used in a CJ-7 or 5.
