Default Failed Inspection???

I just got a rejection sticker from Hall Jeep in Virginia Beach for my brush guard blocking my turn signal. It passed last year at the same place with the same SRC bumper I argued the point but with no luck. I will take it some where else and never deal with Hall auto group again. Thank God I didn't buy from there

That's a pretty stupid reason to fail an inspection.

Well, IS your brush guard blocking your turn signal???
Maybe instead of being screwed this time, you were lucky to get away with it last year.

I'm sure most cops will let you go for any crime at all if you just tell them you got away with it last time!

go to a small garage that cares about you and wants your business. they're less trivial.

i tinted my red and orange light covers with nite-shades and it caused me to fail at a larger garage. my lamps are not black....just a little tint. i thought it was bs but the service rep said they just got fined so they're being extra careful.

so, i found a small corner garage, told the owner why i failed and he said no problem. he said i had plenty of light passing thru. he performed the rest of the inspection and slapped a sticker on.

Got to ask the same question, and if it is in fact blocking the light, then I would have to agree.
The AEV bumper on the wifes JK does not block the turn signal, however the ARB on my XJ does block the turn signal, and ARB incorporated turn signals into their bumper.
I could believe that some manufactures of cheaply made bumpers, and brush guards may not take this into consideration.
Sorry for your frustration, but if you're in a state that has annual inspections, and you have an infraction, it's a hit or miss thing.

well does it block the signal? if it does then you are whinning for no good reason and going somewhere else does not solve the issue. fix it and get a proper inspection.

I am NOT whining. It does not block the signal. I am behind a car I can see them plain as day flashing away in the reflection. The dealership said if when the light is on and reflects at all off of the guard it's blocking it. I am going somewhere else but figured for free I would try the dealer. Never again. The dealer also said they are failing Hummers with factory brush guards I have a lagitament argument and I repeat am NOT Whining!!!
