Default Feeling inferior

Drove to work today in my 1 day old 2012 JKU Rubicon. Nearly everyday I pass the same silver JKU which is nicely lifted and well equipped with 35's, winch, bumpers, etc. We always exchanged waves while driving my well equipped 2007. When I passed him today, NO WAVE. I felt inferior driving my brand new completely stock Jeep, kinda pissed. Wanted to chase him down and identify myself. I mean I wave to all Jeeps stock or modded.

Boy, the lift and tires will come quicker than I thought.

I went from a 04 TJ Rubicon lifted on 33s to a stock 2011 4door JKU Rubicon, I used to get waves all the time with my 04 TJ even when stock, none in my JK any more and I try but no one waves back, i even have a new aftermarket bumper.

Ill be lifting mine soon so maybe that will change.

I notice that a lot of "old men" who have done lots of jeep builds and mods through their life kinda look down on the new Jeep. Until they ride with me and see what I can do, then they drag their jaws on the floor board!

That is so true. I tell myself I am not going to spend the fortune and time it will take to go to at least 35's, do it right, and keep mine reliable. Especially since it would be mostly for looks, as the stock Rubi does what I need.

Then I look at the pictures on here, and still want to do it.

the longer you stay on the forum the more you want to go power tooling and hammering new mods in the Jeep

I say Fuk anybody who doesn't wave. Who do they think they are? It's either they don't know about the jeep wave or they think they are better than you because they have a 'real' Jeep. This means that it is older etc, TJ, YJ, etc. and modded. Well get over it people. Your jeep is no better than anyone else. Just because you lift the Jeep and mod it doesn't give you the right to elevate your own status to pedestal sitter. Be friendly and wave............either that or sell the jeep and get something else.........

If you go by me, even on the highway 4 lanes over I wave..

rock on! haha i do the same thing. i notice jeeps from miles away and get ready for the wave. Especially if the top and doors are off. then its this huge over dramatic wave to let everyone that doesnt drive a jeep know that youre not in our he-man-owning-a-jeep-club

I wave to all Jeeps myself. But I have been caught texting or day-dreaming. The poor guy/gal is already passing me, waving like crazy, before I realize and try to shoot a wave back to no avail. You usually get more waves during the weekends when people are more relaxed and just cruising around too, instead of rushing around on a work-day.
