Default Which Fender Flares should I get??

Im starting to look into some heavy duty metal fender flares and wander who's running which brand and what they like or dislike? I know i want metal fender flares for sure. I also think i want to go with steel too. Aluminum is much lighter but i like knowing i have the strength of steel when i brush up against trees. Any advice is much appreciated! I've been looking into Poison Spyder, Genright, Evo, and Metalcloak. Any other brands out there? Any body have any of these Fenders want to share the goods and the bass about each?
Thanks!

Love my Ace Engineering fenders. They have taken some abuse and hold up. Great warranty also. Tubular Fenders

I run Bushwackers because of price. But, if that were not an issue, I would have gone with Poison Spyder Crusher Flares. They come with bracketry that attaches to the frame, not the body, and the flares attach to the brackets.

When you hit something with those flares, the force gets transferred to the frame rather than the body panels. One day, when I can afford it, I will be upgrading. For now, I wanted the clearance more than an empty wallet or an unhappy spouse.

I like the Ace too for price and looks. The fronts look better than the rears IMHO. The angle on the rear is a little funky because of the bends it has to take and the fact they roll the edge. Because they roll the edge some people had thought they were plastic since there is no seam. I think they need to work the rear design, but you almost get them free based on competitor pricing. If I had to do it again, a big consideration for me would have been metal cloaks. Buddy has them and they look sharp.

Shutterbug do they really attach to the frame? I was worried about any forces being pushed into the body. But if it attaches to the frame then that is totally different

Take a look at this video from them. You can see how this works. Larry shows examples of the different flares on the market and then describes the crusher flares in detail.
