hard to know if that's good or bad news...
americans may not like it...
but in europe fiat is a strong innovative brand...
might be good for us...here's hopin'.

 

A while back I had a Fiat Tipo when I lived abroad US. Loved it. Required following strict maintenance plan but was well worth it. Fiat has one of the best, if not the best, ergonomics of all cars I saw worldwide. It would be nice to see a few of their "spice" on the Jeep. ;-)

 

When you consider that all of the recent ad campaigns were inspired from the Fiat execs asking why Chrysler/Jeep wasn't leveraging the glory that was America and Jeep - that should tell you something. They are car guys - Italian or American, I will take a car guy at the head of a car company any time.

 

Think the new grand cherokee commercials have come around since fist and because of them all me and the wife can talk about is buying is a jeep

 

Considering the rest of the world put diesel in almost everything I'd say it's a good thing. Last time I was in europe I rented a diesel manual minivan. I hate to say it but it was pretty damn cool.

 

Being owned by MB for a few years didn't change anything. I expect the same from fiat. Its not like we got the diesel option like the G55 in eu and rest of the world.
