got my letter yesterday and was really surprised that Chrysler owned up to this issue. very glad, though, because for the past eight months i've had several spills at the gas pump and it's very annoying. i'll be taking my jeep to the dealer soon...

i would always try to estimate when my tank would be full but usually i would be late and gas would spit out.

I've actually found that if I'm filling up from about 1/4 of a tank and I take the nozzle off full at around 15-16 gallons and hold it by hand and let it go nice and slow it doesn't spit back out... Done this everytime since the first time it spit out at me and it's worked yeah it's a little annoying to hold it for another 2-3 gallons but it's saved some money!!!! But glad for this recall still need to get my fender liner one done!!!

Got my Jeep back from the dealership today with a new tank installed. Now it makes an odd noise like something is tumbling around in the tank.

Interesting. I actually had a new tank installed in 09 (put a small log thru the old one). So we'll see what happens.
