Fire
So, I was off-roading a bit in some of Florida's mud and picked up a hell of alot of weeds, and grass in the undercarriage. I was able to pull most of the bulk out, and spray some off also. I figured the rest would dry up, and fall out on its own. Well, today after I got home I noticed white smoke burning form under the jeep, I looked and found some small flames burning. It burnt itself out in about 30 seconds, to a minute so no big deal. But, is this dangerous ? Would it be ok to let it burn it all out from underneath, or should I get down and dirty and remove every bit of the grass that got stuck ?
Thanks

I imagine it was just a problem with stuff that was around the exhaust. Most specifically the Cat. I have never seen it happen around anything other than the exhaust. I would make sure there isn't stuff stuck around the exhaust.

Watched a sub-contractors truck burn to the gound on the side of the road about two years ago. He left it running in tall grass, in the middle of summer.
Just not a jeep thing, any Cat can catch grass on fire. Got to watch out for it.

Should have seen the heads turn when I pulled into Sonic after going mudding. I had steam/smoke coming from everywhere. One lady walked up and asked if I knew my jeep was about to blow up. I finally got to use those immortal words: IT'S A JEEP THING...YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND
