Default Firestone Destination M/T

A friend of mine bought a JK, and he asked me what is the best 33" mud tire with the deepest tread. I told him to buy the KM2 with the 19/32" tread.

He called me this morning and told me that he found the 33" Firestone Destination M/T with 22/32" tread. Very deep

This model is about the same price. But I don't have any info about this tire.
Any help for my friend

I just bought a set used with soft 8's ... They have about 1/2 inch of tread left and I'm happy with them. They have very good reviews. The guy I bought them from said he was on several Jamborees with them and his young son would get upset because they Never got STUCK like all the other jeeps ...

I looked into these tires myself. I went to buy them and my tire guy said he didn't want to sell them to me. He would have but he wouldn't have been happy doing it. He told me they were a really good tire but they wear a lot quicker than other tires. I don't actually have any experience with this tire except that. I ended up going with a set of Hankook Dynapro MT's. I really like them. They suit my needs perfectly.

Have a friend that runs those and they chunk like a sob in the rocks. To the point he was missing lugs. I rather pay a little bit more money for a better tire that will hold up better.

I think that's what my tire guy was getting at. Too soft.

I've been running the 33" Firestone Destinations on my YJ for 3 years now and they perform great. They balance very well and they're pretty quiet on the road. We don't have rocks down here so I don't know about the "chunking", but they do very well in mud and sand.
