Default First real mod!

Was finally able to purchase my 1.5" wheel spacers and I ordered my Tera-flex 2.5" spring lift today. The lift should get here next Thursday, I can't wait to get it in the JKU and complete my first real mod.

Enjoy!!!!

Don't forget to remove the lock washers for the 1.5" spacers.

Don't forget to protect your brake line when you drop the axle to install the lift spacers.

Thanks for the tips, it's my first jeep lift install. Those seem like little easy things to forget. Now, just need to get enough money to get some bigger shoes. 35x12.50x17's. Small bank account for tires so I'm looking at the Hercules trail digger m/t or the fierce attitudes.

Glad to hear you went with the Teraflex spring lift. When are you supposed to get the lift?

I'm probably going with this lift also when my return comes in. Let me know what you think of it. I plan on getting aftermarket wheels with 33" tires. I wanted 35s but I don't want to have to regear right now and would like the extra articulation.

I took your advice and talked to Kevin at Elite, good guy to deal with. I should be getting it in by Thursday, but maybe sooner.

you know, I have the 32"s now and will have those for a bit, and keep telling myself that I will wait on tires till I can afford gears, but I really don't know if I can wait, lol.

On a budget eh? Welcome to the club!!! I do everything on a budget and if you are patient you can find great deals. I bought $1200 worth of tires for $375 on eBay, with free shipping. Brand new tires sent right to by house. Gave the local shop $40 to install them. Stubby bumper was free from a nice member of this forum. Side rails half off, brand new, on eBay. Free shipping.

One mod you REALLY must do is Planman's bolt upgrade kit. All JK's come with the wrong bolts in the suspension. $40 for the bolts from Northridge. Makes the Jeep drive ten times better.
