First winter without a garage...
I lost power during a snowstorm and had to leave mine outside, so covered it with a huge tarp as the snow fell. Next morning had 6-8inches on the soft-top but no big deal, pulled the tarp and snow off together. No damage and I didn't expect any - soft top is well made and also insulates the cabin and keeps it warm (for a soft-top).
Earlier question of is it a daily driver is very relevant. I'd leave mine outside, but not leave it for few days/weeks with snow accumulation.

The jeep is a daily driver. I am not worried about what accumulates on it during the day, as I've always just walked out of the office and pushed the snow off if needed.
My concern is we can get a foot of snow per hour easily... and we get a lot of storms at night. I'm not going to walk up every hour to take care of the snow. I was looking to see if anyone had any creative ideas they came up with. The shelters seem sketchy.. and I've heard horror stories. I'm trying to buy a used hard top, but can't afford a new one... and can't afford to build a garage yet.

Look outside of your area for Hardtops even all the way down to South Jersey, they're usually up on it once or twice a week but go fast. Barter right and you could score one for way less than cost. Even if the color is off it's still more comfortable than the soft top in the Winter.
