Default First Wrangler & Motorcycles

Is it me or does buying your first Warngler truly make you forget that you own a motorcycle?

My Harley is in my garage and I haven't thought about it one bit and spring just broke here in New England.

Does this happen to most folks?

Do people just sucumb and just sell them?

Cheers

If the used motorcycle market wasn't so saturated, I would consider selling it I think.

The first year I had my JK, I didn't drive my VW Golf much, which meant I was giving up 50 mpg to drive the Jeep @ 18 mpg .

I find that everything fades into the background when compared to my JK, not just motorcycles. I was washing my 07 Sahara shortly after getting it and I felt this tugging on my shorts, and I heard this faint noise... I was so focused on my Jeep that my 4 year old started kicking me! I quickly returned to reality and addressed her needs, but it wasnt long before I was looking out the window at my Jeep, trying to think of a reason to take it out. There has got to be something wrong with me...

I hear you man. Although I am single. Especially when I first bought my Jeep. I would go to the window of my second story apartment just to look at my Jeep. I couldnt keep my eyes off it! That or I would hear people talking outside and would go to look and make sure they were keeping their hands off of it!

Yea, me too,,,, I have'nt even started my Harley yet this spring!!!! kinda have mixed feelings about it too.. I've had Harley's going on 30 years now! and since I bought my JK, I can honestly say I have found something that makes me not really care that I have'nt ridden my bike much.....
I just thought it was my age, but now, hearing from you guys, maybe it's kinda natural...??

I almost decided to ride my bike ('07 GSXR 1000) into work today, but it was dirty from sitting there collecting dust, so I decided not to. Instead I got into the Jeep, which incidentally is far dirtier than my bike. I am going to take advantage of it this summer though, and disassemble the bike and repaint it. I have never done it before, so it will be good to be able to take my time and do it right without rushing to get the thing back out on the road.

Well, that's because you have a Harley (or any other type of cruiser).........just kidding...I have been in out of the riding game myself over the 15yrs.....bought a brand new K7 Gixxer 1000, and sold it last year....no time to ride it, and wanted my money back.....and the Jeep def is fun topless and doorless......Harleys hold their value though, and if you dont have $$ issues I say hang onto it, you will want to ride again one day....
