Four winter tires -- which ones are best?
I've been looking at winter tires in preperation for ordering my JK 4-door (probably tomorrow) -- I'm hoping they'll credit the factory tires and install one of these. The Michelin X-Ice seems to have good reviews, but I haven't found anything on the Toyo or Dayton yet. Has anyone experience with these, and if so, what did you think? BTW, I'm in Montreal, so we get lots of plowed surfaces, deep snow on several occasions, and plenty of ice too. A good mix of everything. :-)
Michelin X-Ice 265/70R17 115Q 31.9"
Toyo Open Country G-02 Plus 265/70R17 S 31.6"
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 265/70R17 Q 31.7"
Dayton (Bridgestone) Winterforce P265/70R17 S 31.8" (Accepts #12 Studs)
I still haven't decided if I'll stick with the factory rims, but I'll probably stay with the 17" size.
Thanks,
js.

mabey add nokian tyres to that list. I find they have better cornering performance /saftey than most other winter tyres on ice/snow. Im pretty sure they can be picked up at kal-tire in canada

The SUV 5 appears to have some impressive features... Anyone tried it?
