Free bumpers - is it worth it???
This may be a stupid question - but I have been offered free bumpers (winch-ready front and rear w/ swingaway tire carrier) in exchange for the company using my Jeep for approx. 10 days so that they can do all of the R&D work. I was concerned about drilling/cutting the frame and they said that they shouldn't cut the frame but they may have to drill new mounting points or enlarge the current ones.
If this were your Jeep, would you do it? I'm just concerned that if I don't like the bumpers, or want to get a different set, that they wouldn't fit right if the stock mounting holes have been enlarged.
Thanks.

If you're concerned just ask them for designs of the bumpers before they actually fit them to your jeep. I'd assume they have rought ideas of how they will look and would just like a jeep to get final measurements and mounting locations...
I say HELL YEAH!!!! Get rid of those stock bumpers for free and get new ones , no brainer. Back bumper is a real piece of junk , it weighs about ten pounds and if u sneeze on it it will crush. New bumpers for free ,Wohoo! I'll send um mine if u dont want them.
I would say make sure you like the design first. Why go through the aggrevation for some big ass ugly bumper. Plus you dont have your Jeep for ten days. Is it a stubby or full width, and which one of those do you like, etc.
Oh, and oops, that ding wasn't in my Jeep when I brought it!

I would do it in a second!! As in the last reply, any changes are easily fixed.
