Default Front end shake when wheel is close to lock...

When turning at low speed, in 4wheel or not, the front end "jumps" on my currently stock 07 Unlimited Rubicon. Only occurs when close to lock like when going into parking spaces, maybe it just wants to keep running?!

The 4WD is NOT a "full-time" 4WD design. IOW, 4WD should only be engaged on snowy/icy pavement or when off-roading. Otherwise you'll get wheel hop exactly as you are getting now...

If it's happening in 2WD, you've got an issue...

Question It may be simple

Have you considered that it might be simply the tires? When you turn sharply, the tires 'lay over' and ride more on the shoulders. On your Rubicon, that would mean that they are turning on some pretty substantial knobs on the tires. That could definitely cause the feeling that you describe.

Just a thought

good try, but i don't use 4 wheel when its dry, and it happens with 4wheel on or off, I only put in in 4 wheel for snow and sand.

I'll take a look when it happens next time, not sure that those could create this feeling, but its worth a look into.
Thanks
