How is everyone? Does anyone know about how many gallons of gas are still in the tank when the fuel light comes on. I dont know about you guys but it seems my fuel light comes just shy of a quater tank? I have been doing quite a bit of driving with the holidays and all and when It comes on I just ignore it till the needle is about touching the red empty line. And when I fill up I usually still had about 3 gallons in there? Just wondering if anyone knew?? Happy Holidays!

Yeah, mine comes on at just under a quater. Somettimes it comes on a little over a quarter, if I'm Facing uphill.

 

Yeah mine comes on pretty early too but the gas seems to quickly disapear so as soon as it comes on I get to the gas station!

 

When mine comes on, I can fit about 18.5 gallons of fuel in. Not much of a cushion.

 

apparently it's different from jeep to jeep..,... I can drive for another 1/2hr on a 45mph road after the light is on, and when i get to the gas station, i can only fill it up to about 16.5 gallon.....makes me wonder how much gas left when the light is on....

 

Mine seems to come on at about 1/8th tank, and it seems to drop fast after that, so I've never really pushed it to see how much I can get out of it.

 

Yes, mine usually goes on around 1/8 tank. One time I was able to drive for a while; about 40~45 miles (mix of freeway and local). Finally, I got the gas when the pointer reached at the bottom of "E" line, and it was about 20.? gallon to fill up.

 

The 2 door JK has a smaller tank than the 4 door. The 2 door has a 70 litre tank, and I believe the 4 door is an 80 litre tank.
