Default Full Traction and Pure Jeep Problem

I used to own an XJ that I was going to Jeepspeed. I was gettting ready to strip it down, but I thought I'd order the lift first and work from the ground up. I wanted the best lift and was really happy with the Full traction quality. To make a long story short, I ordered the lift from a local dealer, so I could skip out on shipping and handling. The shop said to wait till they get the lift, then come on down and pay for it.

6 months later, I was still waiting, and getting tired of calling Full traction to hear that they were still making my lift. Finally, I got so frustrated, I sold the XJ and went down and bought a new JK instead...so thanks to Full Traction, I got my JK. However, I was deeply disapointed in their customer relations and speediness so I swore off ever doing business with Full Traction.

Well, I wanted to get the best rock sliders for my JK and I like the quality of Pure Jeeps, I saw they were available on Quadratec so I put in my order. That was ove 6 months ago and every time I call, they say, "we are still making them and they will get shipped out to the powder coaters next week" or "The powder coat was chipping off so we have to send them back again." After a little research, I find out Pure Jeep and Full Traction are the same company.

I'm on the verge of canceling my order for the sliders, but I don't like any other products except for Fab Four and they are too expensive. Has anyone else had problems with these guys? Does anyone know some inside info about when I can expect to get my rock sliders? I'm starting to get really fed up!

I don't want to bash any sponsers, Full Traction/PureJeep make amazing stuff, but they really need to work on their costomer service!!!

What about Shrockworks?

Prolly won't be faster than 10 weeks though.

The post is not about modifying anything. It is complaining about deliver/production times.

I think Full Traction and Purejeep makes very nice quality parts that function well and also look great doing it. It seems like there has been a lot of complaints about their customer service or rather lack of it. Seems like a lot of the companies in this market are smaller companies who are probably doing a lot with little help. Their help is concentrated on the research and development, design, and execution of their products, not on answering and talking with and returning customers calls and e-mails.

I don't think there are many companies making quality parts for the JK, and I have read the same complaints about every company that does here on the forum. It is a waiting game, and no question that it sucks! Just have to deal with it or choose a slider that you like and is available now.

Good luck with whatever you decide! Those PJ sliders are awesome BTW!

I like body mounted sliders, I think they are stronger.

I like the body mounted PJ sliders too. That's why I have them on my Jeep!

On another note, I am not sure Full Traction/Pure Jeep is set up for dealing with customers thats why they sell through distributers and dont sell direct.. A lot of these companies dont sit here on the forum reading all the posts either. I have seen people try to communicate with the companies in these threads. A lot of these guys just advertise here but rarely come on the forum to see whats up.

Sorry you had some bad experiences with them. I have both the FT lift and the PJ sliders and I can tell you they are worth the wait.

we now have half the moderators posting in this thread either defending full traction/pure jeep or trying to discredit the OP.
