$2.789 Might as well call it $2.79 stupid $.009 which if you figure rounds up to $2.79 for every gallon. Now if we recall Superman3 (I think) that $.001 that gets added on works out to a whole lot of money paid out for nothing in return. For every 1000 gallons the oil companies pocket $1.00. That means if the average fillup is 15 gallons it takes roughly 67 fillups to get $1.00 free money. How many fillups do you do in a year? I would say for me it is a minimum of 52 (one per week). I have been driving for 21 years. That means on me alone the gasoline companies have made $21 profit just on rounding up my bill. Of course a lot of my fillups have been 27 gallons in a truck so the numbers are on the low side. If you figure one million people doing the same in the same amount of time then you start to see the real truth. BTW that's $27,000,000.000
