Get this Mountain Ed instead of new 2011?
I was pretty set on a new 2011 Mango JK and than I ran across this last night. What do you guys think? It appears reasonably priced and already has a lift and tires which is what I want to do anyways. The only bad thing is it has a lot of lift (4 inches!) and no info on the brand or who did the work. It also has the old interior that I am not a fan of.

If I have a choice to make and I start with "I like both but..." then I have learned I will not be happy with the one with the but.
It took me several car\truck\jeep purchases to come to this enlightenment.

Ask questions about the lift. Go take a look at it. Auction's got 5 days to go. If they don't know anything about the lift take someone with you to look at it that does. Test drive it. A lot can be told about the quality of the work and the components by how it drives.
I recently struggle with buy a new stripped down JKU or a 07 Rubi with 43k miles on it. I could have gotten the new one cheaper, I went with the used Rubi loaded up with dual tops and I haven't regretted it. Maybe in 20 thousand miles when I still have 2 years of payments on it and something major goes wrong and I don't have a warranty I might then, but I doubt it.

We have a 2010 2 dr Mountain, bone stock, and I love it. Like others have said, you seem to have your heart set on the 2011. See if you can get the grey wheels put on a new Jeep as an option. Not sure if Jeep still manufactures the Mountain edition anymore.
I've personally learned my lesson about buying used Jeeps, but I'm sure there are others that have great luck.
If I were you, I'd get the new 2011, and mod it exactly the way you want it, by yourself or by the shop you trust.
Don't just buy it because you like the wheels and it's already lifted....I'd go new 2011 and then paint your stock wheels or buy the exact wheels you want with the correct backspacking.
Go with the blank canvas!
