Ok, thanks guys. Glad I didn't order them. I had been wondering if I did the right thing but $395 sounded a little steep for side steps. Rather put that money toward some nice rock sliders possibly with a integrated step.

I think the stock steps that come on the Sahara work pretty well. I am just under 5'5". I don't use the step when I get in, only when I get out. When I get out I rotate in my seat so I'm facing straight out the door, then step on the step and out. The only thing I don't like them is that they hang too low for off-roading. I'm considering replacing them with something that offers a little more ground clearance in the future.

The door sill on the Jeep is that way for the safety of the passengers and drivers while the doors are off, as well as for body Intigirty
