Cool Glad I got the zero deduct windshield coverage!

Living in Vegas, there are alot of materials trucks zipping around. I opted for the extra glass coverage with AAA insurance for $13 bucks a month.

Paid for itself today. I am going to get a new winshield installed @ 2:00 pm due to three rocks falling off a truck and killing my factory windshield. All three damage spots on the edge of the glass so they can't repair them.

After that? Off to Lake Mead for some wheelin and fishing!

Your glass guy is going to love you. I had a YJ and replaced 5 in 4 years. The JKs windshields are less upright but for $13 I'd say you're ahead of the game for at least 2 years.

Of course if after 2 years money is tight you can always lay it down and drive with a helmet.

YOU SHOULD READ THE THREAD ABOUT THE WHISTLE IF ITS NOT INSTALED RIGHT:: MAKE SURE ALL SEALENT IS OUT FROM UNDER THE GLASS SO IT LAYS IN AS FLAT AS FACTORY, OR IT WILL MAKE A BAD WHISTLE SOUND.. ONE GUY SAID HE HAD IT DONE 3 OR 4 TIMES BEFORE THEY GOT IT RIGHT..

Thanks, I did watch them do the install. They scraped all of the old sealant and really did a great job.

Dude I am waiting for my two chips to get bigger before I do replacement number 2. The glas guy suggested I wait because they will go for repair over replacement with those two and even then the repairs will eventually crack plus they do not look as good. He also said that for some reason riding with a chip in a jeep's windshield seems to repel more rocks but as soon as it's replaced whammo. BTW I had mine replaced and got the first chip in the new one a month and a half later.

I dunno if it's the angle, the shape or just that they're magnetized, but I've gone through one windshield in the first 5000 miles and am already well into the second. Gotta spend the company mileage on something, I guess!
