Default glug glug glug...

I looked at the weather last night... 30% chance of storms... doesn't sound too bad, so I'll just leave the bikini and windjammer on.

BIG MISTAKE!

About 2:47, we started getting a downpour and it ran through 10AM with more on the way. 3-4 inches so far... CRAP!

Lesson 1 - Windjammer is just a piece of crap in the rain.

Lesson 2 - I have now found the drain plugs under the carpet!

Lesson 3 - Some of the drain plugs aren't going back in.

Lesson 4 - Make sure your window seals all the way when you roll it up. I have had the rubber seal on my passenger door get kinked up a few times, and this time it contributed to my flood. The back would have probably gotten wet anyway, but I ended up with water up front as well because of the dang window seal.

A small bit of irony - The part with the deepest water was the hidden cubby in the back, and that is where I kept my rain jacket!

On the bright side, I have now convince my wife that a trail cover is a necessity!

I'm just lucky it is supposed to be sunny tomorrow through Tuesday, so I'll just drop the top and let it all dry again.

A few months back, I had the windows off, but doors on. I was parked next to the house when a storm came through in the middle of the night and when I went out in the morning my passenger side was filled. At first I coudn;t figure out how the front had filled with water when the door was on and window closed. At first I thought I had a leak, but then realized I was parked close enough to the house that when all the rain came off (they don't believe in gutters in the Phoenix area) in came right in the back passenger side windw and then ran downhill to the passenger foot well area. MInd you this was in January and it was about 35 out when I was sticking my hand in the water to pull the drain, damm that was cold.

With all that water, I never had an issue with any of the electrical, it appears it's pretty well sealed. I've also washed out the interior (avoiding the dash area mind you) and had not electrical issues.

No electrical problems so far... I had water 4" deep in the well under the passenger seat, and while trying to dry it off I could feel the wires running to the airbag override sensor. I was a little afraid that my speakers might have gotten damaged, but so far everything still sounds good.

I went to a car wash and sucked a lot of the carpet dry this afternoon, and then spent some of the evening driving around with no top. It is already getting dryer, and I expect everything to be dry by the end of the day tomorrow. Especially if I go for a cruise with no doors.
