Consider that this was a stock Sahara, with what looked like the factory Bridgestone tires....

A budget boost and a set of 35s and he would not have needed the rocks.

Did you guys notice BLD kicking in after he scaled the rock face? Stopped the near-side front wheel from spinning, transferring torque to the other wheel.

Naw, lockers would do nothing when you've bottomed on the frame like he was. He had no issue with traction, his problem was a lack of clearance. Once they had gotten him another inch or two of clearance (by cutting down the break-over angle with rocks), the Sahara went up and over with ease.

There are places and obstacles where lockers can make a difference, this wasn't one of them.

I think you could have bumped it with a locked front and gotten up the obstacle.

I disagree that lockers would not have made a difference.
