Default Got pulled over for...

I got pulled over the other night by a local cop (respectful and totally cool like most). As I was pulling over I was thinking to myself "no doors, tires hanging out 4", smoked side markers and signals?"

Just a warning to remove my license plate covers. Wasn't expecting that.

Yeah most states have a statute now that if any part of the license plate lettering or number is not visible its probable cause for being pulled over and even a ticketable offense if the cops having a bad day.

Yeah I had the tinted ones and from an angle the plate wasn't readable. Our other vehicle has clear covers and we've never had a problem with it though.

Back when I had my XJ I got pulled over in PA. I was expecting something about my tires being too far out or tinted windows. Nope, guy wanted to ask where I got my license plate bracket w/ the LED light. It was an AEV relocation bracket. Good times.

I recently got pulled over for not having a front license plate.
No place to mount one on the Poison Spyder front bumper.

Just a warning, but I guess I'll have to come up with something......

I got pulled on my bike for the same issue. Butthole cop said he could take my to jail for this offense. It might of had something to do with the fact that he parked in front of me and I pointed out the decorative University of Miami license plate boarder he had on his patrol car.

I zip tied mine to the grill on my old XJ. If you've got a fairlead, I've seen plate holders that clip on to there as well. Just a couple ideas.

He was pulling your leg with that threat. At least in texas the only arrestable class c misdemeanor offenses are PI, Speeding, and Failure to sign for your appearance in court on the ticket.
