Great experience with CT Dealer!
I must start by saying that I've never been fond of dealers because of past experiences.....but I wanted a new JK!!!
After hearing some of the nightmare stories on this blog I was even less confident.
Scap Auto in Fairfield, CT completely earned my endorsement. So much so I feel obligated to give them some props here.
A few bullets:
- Ordered Jeep - No down payment required
- Negotiated price before order - they promised to honor. They did (no games!).
- They made $700 mistake on costs. They ate the $$ to honor our agreed price. (omitted some regional fees I believe).
- JK ordered July 31....driven off lot Sept 6! (Dealer allocation is key)
- Feedback throughout the waiting period was consistent and accurate
Very good experience.
FYI...the price was significantly below MSRP. Out of respect for their service I won't say how much (up to you to negotiate!).

Black Sahara 4 Door
Dual Top
Side Airbags
Tow Package
etc...(no MyGig)

I live up in Monroe and had looked at them when I bought. Unfortunately, they didn't have any 4:10 6spd combos and the orders were 12 week minimum so I decided to move on.
They did seem very knowledgeable though... Based on my awful first service experience with my selling dealer (White Plains) I should probably give them a shot. Let us know how your service experiences go.

And I have no experience about the quality of service after the purchase at this time.
I haven't met him but, I've heard, the most knowledgeable jeep guy at the dealership is a sales rep named Scott. As a whole they seem pretty candid so if you called I'd guess he would give you a straight answer.
I got mine from papa's. I want to kill everyone in that place. My stories are posted in some places around the site but due to them I never want to buy a car from a dealer again.

I went to Papa's when I was price-shopping, but had no real intention of buying from them. My grandfather bought from them YEARS ago, and went through some trouble with them that soured our whole family on Papa's... and they may very well be the biggest in CT, but since they moved locations, they're doing really piss-poor business...
We got the Green X there and they were nothing but nice and work with us on the price and gave us a huge deal on our trade in(way more than they should have). Papas new location is by far the nices dealership i have see in New England.
The Silver X we got at Executive in North Haven also great people. Went back when we want to find one for my girl but they just didnt have anything in stock at the time and Papas did.
