Default Grill inserts

I've seen the grill mod write up a thread or two on self-made grill inserts, but I'm just too damn lazy.

Anybody have any experience with this Rampage grill insert:

Here's the description (for $200, though it looks like I can get it for about $150 or less):

Part Number: 865132007-09 JK Wrangler, Rubicon and Unlimited
Diamond black finish3 dimensional surface
Heavy duty steel constructionForm fitted for an easy installation
Single piece formed steel grille specifically designed for Jeep factory grille shell.
Unique style with 3 dimensional surface and formed inserts compliment vehicle design.
Heavy-duty steel construction with a durable powder coat finish.
Easy installation, contoured fit attaches to underside of factory grille shell.

Diamond Black Finish – Black with polished highlights, dual stage powder coat & clear coat, this allows silver to show through the black powder coat giving the grille a 3 dimensional look.

I did my homebrew grille insert yesterday for $12.36 and a half hour of labor. It really isn't that much work at all, take the grille off, attach 28 cable tie blocks which have self-adhesive on the back and then zip tie the mesh onto the cable blocks. It looks great and is very sturdy.

I don't have any experience with the rampage grille insert but personally I think they are all over priced.

Ok, still a little confused about the tie down adhesives, do you get them at home depot or lowes? Also, how do you take the grille off the bottom? Thanks!

I got mine at Lowes.
With the grille, you undo the top plastic clips, undo the turn signal harnesses, and just pull. It will come out.

I consider myself the king of wasting money... But even I wouldn't buy the grill insert since the gutter mesh is so easy to do. It took a little time, but you can't beat the price.

As for the tie down blocks; I soaked them in WD40 for a couple of hours in order to get the double sided sticky pads off. Then once they were clean, I used super glue to attach them inside the grille uprights.
Permanent in all temperatures now.

By the way, here is what you'll need from Home Depot.

Gardner Bender Mounting Bases, 1 In. x 1 In., Natural, 100 / Bag

Went to lowe's and home depot today, can't find that gutter guard anywhere! Any suggestions on where I could find it? Should I just order it online?

I was in the building materials isle and found an "old school" residential radiator cover that worked perfectly (2 pieces joined) 12x24 inch each. I'll send photos soon.
