Default Had My First Ride In A JK

One of the guys in the academy with me had his dad's Unlimited Sahara yesterday and a few of us went in it to go to lunch. He just bought himself a 2005 Grand Cherokee SRT8 for $15,00 last week. He said that goes through a half a tank every day going to the academy and the needle barely moved in the JK. I told him he'd better not leave the keys unattended.

so has this ride sparked an interest in you to purchase a jk?

my love for jeeps started when my dad picked me up in his boss's YJ when i was a kid and we drove into a snow bank got stuck, then after my dad explaining what 4X4 was, he engaged it and we got out. from that day, about 13 years ago, i've been a jeep fan.

I've wanted one for a long while. Was laid off for about 2 years though. Now that i'm working I'm hoping to get one in the summer.

I've wanted a jeep since about the early 80's.

It's like a bad drug addiction, you say you'll try it one time and it's all over from there. Hope you get one yourself and enjoy the high. My addiction started back in 99 with my first ride in a CJ7

I too remember my first ride in a friend's CJ-7. I'm on my 7th Jeep since then. You either love-em or hate them - there's really no in-between for a Wrangler.

I know the feeling. I was at the dealer today getting new tie rod ends put on my '08 ram... had time to kill and took a 45 min test drive in a brand new Rubicon. OMG!!! I've wanted one for a long time, but never thought it was practical. Thought I always needed a pick up... now I'm not only hooked, but disappointed that 1. I'm unemployed (althought that's going to change very soon now) and 2. I still owe $23,300 on my truck and the dealer is only willing to give me $19 for it.
