Default Hail!

I went through two hail storms today. Hail from marble size to about the size of a quarter. I can't find any damage, but it makes a hell of a noise on the hardtop. Some of it sounded like it was going to come through.

None that I can find. I was in the middle of nowhere on a country road and I couldn't even find a good spot to try to find a tree to hid under.

With all of the talk about the flimsy sheet metal, that is surprising. Glad you fared so well.

Default Good engineering

See, those geniuses at DC used such thin sheet metal to achieve the "Trampoline Effect" Anything that hits the JK will bounce off like a trampoline. You thought they were just being CHEAP!!!

I KNEW I forgot to post something... I had a little hail this past weekend (not nearly as severe as you, Motocane). The hail was rice-sized, at most, so I didn't have to worry about dings and dents, but you're absolutely right - made one HELL of a racket on the hard top... felt like I was a bug that flew into a drum!

I got hail at my house last December. I know what you're thinking "Yeah right, Hail in the middle of Phoenix," but it's true. The stuff I got though was about the same size as what MJS_Jeep had, rice size.
