Half Door Jk help
Better go check the dealer. Just so happens I was going home last night from work, and a brand new JK Unlimited rolls past me with soft top and half doors complete with soft uppers. wish I could have snapped a pic, but at 80 on the HD I have to keep both hands on the handlebars. Atlanta traffic is brutal.
Good info! Still a little too high for me. I would pay $1500 for a set. The one thing he didn't mention is what lock will be installed. Will they order ones to match your keys. Not that it would matter much in my situation as I never lock my doors.
Great point I hadn't even considered that! This is all great, i just can't believe a third party hasn't picked up this idea yet... id pay 2000 for it... Do you have any more info on the mopar parts commin this summer?
I think the half-door sets on E-Bay are actually $2,995 for 2 doors, $5,995 for the four door set (they were at one seller I browsed). I have a relative who is an engineer at Chrysler HQ and I'm trying to get the inside scoop on the timing and price of the Mopar kit...
Also, I found this set online.. http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2/...gory_Code=7UNM
His price is $2,990 and it just says "select 2 or 4 door". I can't imagine the price would be the same for either but you never know...
This is a key issue for me because I'll be buying a Jeep in the next month and I'm trying to decide what to buy. I really want the half doors, but they're almost impossible to find out here in Cali (have looked at inventory at 90% dealers in the state online). They're out there, but hard to find with the color and options I want...
So, I was looking around to find out how much they would be and yep - about $3,000 a set (plus the rescue green paintjob). Also, it worries me because if I purchase a Jeep with the half doors, they represent a $3,000 liability attached by 1 bolt and lite enough for a child to carry...
I will update if I hear anything on the Mopar kit...

I'm presently pricing unlimited's and a local dealer quoted $19,750 for an "X" with auto trans and half doors ( green ). I would buy it at that price but the half doors seem like a hassel as I rather have full doors. I had the half doors on my YJ and the zippers drove me nuts. I'd would rather just take the full doors off then run with the half's and deal with those plastic windows all the time.
I shot an email to the local dealer. Here's what I got back.
The half doors for just the metal portion run about $900 a door, that is not including the interior panel or paint. If you have any further questions about pricing on the doors our parts department would be happy to help you out and go over some options with you.
I asked about them for my '08 4dr.

JKMonterey, let us know what you find out.
I wonder how Jeepsareus obtains these complete door kits? Obviously they exist. So why hasn't mopar released them to dealers?
Are they testmarketing them to see if it's worth ramping up production? And/or to see what pricing should be?
