Default Half Door Poll

I have a quick question for the very few half door JKs on the forum.

I traded my fulls for half doors last fall, and honestly the half doors don't leak any worse than my fulls did. Even in a torrential downpour there is very little leakage.

I can tell exactly where the water gets in, and have been meaning to add a little weather stripping to the top of the window frame, but haven't gotten around to it. The small amount of water that does get in hasn't made it a priority.

I have both doors. It's not the doors that are the problems with leaks. It is the top and the windshield header intersection. Pretty much everywhere you see that foam is where the bad design is and where they leak from.

My full doors and my half doors leak exactly the same. Erratic. Some times they leak sometimes they don't. There doesn't seem to be any logic to it. Heavy rain, light rain doesn't matter. The dealer has no clue how to fix the Jeep nor does STAR.

In my opinion the half doors do not leak any more or less than the full doors.

Mine leak worse than a sieve. LOL. (And, no, I didn't vote).

My full doors are getting to that level. They have been getting progressively worse since I "fixed" them. I guess the patch I made is failing. Aren't those TJ mirrors on your JK? Did you fab up a bracket to connect them to your JK windshield?

That is Mopar's answer to the missing left mirror. They don't make one for the right side. :(

I should have guessed. That's a mirror from an 03-06 TJ. All they had to make was the bracket.

My full doors don't leak at all, but I agree with the above poster about the front of the header channel filling up with water and leaking when you open the door.
In that case do you want to trade doors?
