Harbor Frieght Winch?
Does anyone know who makes them? They look like mile marker winchs. Does anyone have one or had one 250$ newhow do i pass on this and i would only use it a couple times a year........
The time i spent looking into it, it seems they either run 'awesome'..or not at all. Kind of the same as I've seen the Smittybilt results. I'm curious as well, but hate to dump $250 on a boat anchor and be left stranded.
If $$$ is real tight, you might want to look at them, I don't know anything about them myself either,, I run a Smittybilt comp. 10, and have used it on some tuff pulls, and it has worked fine for me so far...
If you intend to use it hard and often you might want to save you're pennies and buy something better.

I have a 8k warn on my jeep but, those ones at harbor freight the Chicago ones have a 2 year warranty or something on them? Might want to check that out as for the winch it works fine but slow we use them for pulling 3k pound race cars up on the trailers pulled 2 at one time and, it pulled it up fine 6k rated for 8k. If the winch is clean enough you go buy another one and, throw the other one in the box and, take it back if your warranty is up haha. I've done that a number of times its a way to nerf the system but, could get a ass pounding if they find out.
They last about as long as the warranty pretty much.
