Default Hard Top Damage

Last weekend I was in Hollister having fun. I got the JK a little on its side and nicked a rock on the rear passenger side corner of the hard top. It’s about 1” long and maybe 1/16” deep. What’s the potential of the fiberglass delaminating/separating? Is there an easy fix?

The top is not fiber glass. The top is made of SMC sheet molded composite. It is similar to fiberglass but it will not come apart in sheets like fg would. SMC will just brake.

i would maybe fill it with some fiberglass resin just for the purpose of leveling out the scratch and hit it with a little paint then call it a day.

I got a a gash abou 4in long an1/4 to a 1/2 in deep, filled it with some Marine putty from Lowes, real easy to use just break off a chunk, knead it , apply, wait about an hour and sand, then spray with some black.
