Question Hard top longevity on the trail?

Dear hard top owners...

If you really wheel your JK hard and subject it to a lot of flex, does the factory hard top eventually crack from the stress? Is this a given? Do the serious rock crawler guys avoid hard tops for this reason?

the hard top is pretty flexable

but i would say most of us wheel without it so we have less weight on the Jeep

My hardtop cracked probably due to flex off-road. Jeep replaced under warranty.
