Contrary to popular belief, we don't, at least not in Las Vegas. You will burn up and be miserable from mid-June to early September here (105*+) and then fron late November to March-ish is too cold for me.

Hi,
I live a few miles away from Hornell, NY so we have similar weather. I only drive a soft top year 'round. If the weathers somewhat nice...top down. If it turns nasty...top up. I carry the window panels in the back and zip them on if it really starts to rain hard (usually scoot into a car wash to put them on!!) Hard tops are a PITA as you lose all of that flexibility and "spur of the moment" decision ability. Enjoy... Mike

Here in sunny Southern Cal it will be 106 deg today. 105 yesterday. Hardtop / Softop.........doesn't matter. A little rain would be a nice change.

x2 from eastern PA, threw in the towel this morning - for good - my soft top is listed for sale in the "sale" forum. Just don't get it down that much. We get a nice day here or there I'll drop the freedom panels.

I'm only a dozen miles from you, I agree that the summer weather sucked this year. I've only got a soft top for the Jk and it does fine in winter. Our TJ had both tops and we used to put the hard top on at Thanksgiving and off at Easter. I actually don't miss the hard top, I think the soft top is quieter on the road, the hard top made everything echo inside, like a big old empty room does. If you see a black two door with jk-forum stickers, give a wave, that will be us.

I'm going to wait for October. Just in case that Indian summer makes an appearance.
