Default Hard Top is Trashed!!! :(

I took my hardtop off last Wed. and put the soft top on. I didn't think anything about it and set it in my yard beside the garage until I could have a chance to rig up the storage for it inside the garage. Thurday we got a hellacious t-storm and winds of 50-60 mph  So in addition to blowing over 3 big oak trees it picked up my hard top and tossed it around the yard. So now its got two big cracks in the fiberglass and the back glass is gone. I'm going to be working w/ Nationwide on a replacement, we'll see how that goes. Anyone know how much a new one costs?

You must live near Southern GA. We had that same storm last night.

New ones are pretty spendy I think. If you don't wanna spend the cash and your insurance won't cover it, you might try a boat repair shop, or an auto body shop that specializes in fiberglass repair. This all depends on how bad it's damaged, of course.

If you happen to be in Georgia, talk to David Percival at Milton Ruben in Augusta, great guy to deal with and I think he has the hardtop priced well below $2K and in stock. The additional cost is for the guys that arent pre wired. Sorry to hear of your troubles and good luck with the replacement.

Is it possible to replace the window and do some creative fiberglass work to repair it?

Just as an FYI, I am pretty sure that the hard top is made from SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and not fiberglass.
