waved at a passing Jeep while you were in a car other than your Jeep? Today as I was driving my wifes Subaru, I caught myself waving at two passing Jeeps. The people in them must have thought I was a total douchebag.

I've done that a number of times while driving my Lexus IS350, then had the thought I'll bet they wondered who the heck that was.

The other day, going to the gas station to fill the Lexus up with premium, I waved at a Jeep coming the other way right as I went to turn in the station.
Well the guy and gal in the Jeep also turned in and pulled up to the other row of pumps.

Pumping fuel into the IS350 I didn't really think anything about it untill the guy walked over toward me, introduced himself and them said "how are those beadlocks on your Rubicon".
Well we talked long enough for his girlfriend to get aggravated with it.

Jeep drivers know, they just know.

Yup, routinely forget myself while toting the family around in the Exploder.

Lol, I have done that a couple times. Its hard enough to get people around here to wave, when you are actually in your Jeep!

I'm new to Jeeps and my JK unlimited and am loving it so far. I really like the Jeep wave and always try to wave to them. It seems like most if not all Wranglers wave back but most other types of Jeeps (cherokees, grand cherokees, libertys, commanders) never wave back and look at me like I'm nuts, is it just between wranglers? I'm guessing the other types of Jeeps have more yuppies driving them than Wranglers I suppose.

Oh yes, I find myself looking at their Jeep and forgetting I'm not in mine.
