Default Have to vent

Sorry I'm so pissed I have to vent someplace.

I unexpectedly saved 600 bucks on a new FT 4" LA, so I put it on top of the money I was going to spend on shocks and went almost all out. I actually have two days off this week so I'm looking forward to throwing on the lift and shocks.

Shocks came today while I'm at work so you can imagine I was looking forward to seeing these when I got home. Well I get home open the box. There are two boxes in there and I can smell oil. Think it's a little strong but hey there's oil in shocks right. Well I take out the two boxes and the second one looks like this

Well I'm a little mad, but hey maybe something spilled right?

Nope, I open the box to see this.

Now I'm mad.

I'll be call Quadratec tomorrow. But I doubt there is any way to get the shock here before Friday, my last day off.

Thanks guys, I just had to vent. Normally I would just wait and be glad I had it. But I wanted so bad to put these on Thursday.

I'm sure it happened between PA and here Don't really care if it was UPS or some guy in a warehouse. As long as they make it right I won't hold a grudge. But I'm so pissed because I had my hopes all up to do this Thur/Fri.

I might put the lift on and leave the Jeep sitting on the OME springs and shocks in the driveway. But I'm a little bit frightened that it could be sitting there for a while.

I wouldnt say that, I have recieved several broken parts from quadratec. I know they are just a parts warehouse, but they have no quality control standards at all. I went as far as filling a report with the BBB against them only to find out I am one of thousands.

Well I might get a replacement by Friday. I hope. I sent an email last night with the pictures and when I woke up I had an order from Quadratec. Looks like the order is to pick up the shock, but hey I'm happy it was taken care of quickly. Now begins the wait again.

The few times I have ordered from them, I get it next day no matter what time I order. Good Luck Man.

You're the first person I've ever heard of that had a bad time dealing with Quadratec... now I'm kind of paranoid.

I have ordered over a dozen things for my JK through quadratec...more than from any other single distributor.
They have always been great- matching prices, helping with tech questions....even going to the warehouse to look for items they don't show in catalog anymore. (which he found and sold to me)

Shipping goes quickly and smoothly for me each time.
I have learned, though, to call for all of my orders. I always end up ordering something backordered when I order online.

I'm sure they'll make it right. Hopefully in time.

Thanks guys. I think I'm just going to put the lift on and leave it in the driveway on the OME's. Hopefully it doesn't snow again as I hate driving the Miata in the snow.

They said they are sending out a replacement today. I have no reason not to believe it. I've always gotten parts quickly from them. I do want this soon though. The wait is killing me.

I have ordered a ton of stuff with Q-tec, and if they said they have it in stock, it got to me in 2-3 days no problems.
