Default Hello, My Name is...and this is my first Jeep

I've always wanted a Jeep sense I was a child. I wondered in amazement as the "older" kids drove by with the top off, smiles on their faces, and wind in their hair. There was always something kinda mystical about these people. They appeared different, not a care in the world, not like everyone else, fun loving...I wanted that too. Many, many, many years later, I found myself in a position to finally join what would become a club into itself. It was more than a smile on my face and wind in my hair - the Jeep, the lifestyle I didn't realize it came with, and the community is more than I ever expected.

Is this your first Jeep too?

Yes. I got it at the age of 58. It's such a perfect fit for me, that I'm still trying to figure out why it took me so long to figure that out.

I went $7k upside down on a Toyota Camry before Toyota went south. SO glad I have my Jeep. I tell everyone my daily fun level is up at least 60% with a Jeep in my life!

just a few days away from taking delivery of my 2nd jeep, a 2010 rubi. My first jeep was a 2008 X, I always wanted a jeep so finially as a midlife crisis I leased the X. Love it so much I ordered a rubi, why did it take me so long, I will never know the answer to that but i can tell you that every day when I jump in I get a big smile and the more mud or snow the bigger the smile thats why i need the rubi!

all my vehicles have been jeeps since high school, 20 years of jeeps and counting.

and though I regretted buying it at first, now I think I may just like my JK the most of all of them.

My JKU is my first jeep, there is nothing like it. In high school I was addicted to speed, never really had a fast car but I would take them as fast as they would go. I never new it was so much fun to go slow.

The wife (girlfriend at the time) got me hooked, she bought a 2000 TJ about two years ago and its been an addiction ever sense. Everytime she complains about me being on the forum or looking at parts or spending money I just balme her.
