Default Help!!!!! Big dilema!!!! Which jk????

So here is my issue... Im going to buy a jk unlimited. I have $8500 to put down. I could get a brand new Unlimited for around $24,000. very basic. prob no options.. or I found a 2007 Steel Blue RUBICON Unlimited 6-speed with hardtop and 25,000 miles for $26,900. I talked the dealer down to $25,000...

WHAT DO I DO!!! Im afraid the 2007 will have a problem and there is little waranty left. AND I'LL BE BROKE... DO I GO FOR IT? Should I get a brand new zero mile base with a warranty or a RUBICON the dealers says they bought from Chrystler executives but it is NOT a buy back. How often do you guys have to bring your JK's to the dealers for warrantee work?

Has any one had better luck with the newer JK's over the 2007's specifically the Rubicon.

I will be adding AEV 3.5 premium and 35 inch tires down the road. I plan on doing some 4-wheeling. I really want to go to Moab for a vacation (but dont plan doing anything extreme)

PLEASE HELP. ANY INPUT IS EXTREMELY APPREACIATED. THANKS SO MUCH.

That price seems WAY high for a 2007 Rubi. Find a 2010 you like online and negotiate the hell out of it with the dealer (or do this at several dealers). You will eventually find the Jeep you want and a great price. If you must choose between these two, take the new one. Again, that price seems ridiculous for a 2007.

My philosophy is never buy a used Jeep, unless it is an old CJ that you want as a project. You never know how abused they have been. Besides, $25K will get you one nice new Jeep. I would go for the new one and negotiated like crazy. (get up and walk a few times and have the wife keep screaming NO!!!)

Just something to think about, the 2010's have a 100,000 mile TRANSFERABLE warranty on the drive train. When we got our 2010, the dealer told us this was the first year of the transferable warranty. That makes a huge difference to me when looking at new vs. used. Plus financing is better and easier on new vehicles. Just my 2 cents worth.

If you are going to buy an '07 with no warranty, I suggest you find a mall crawler or one that is completely stock. Your chances of problems will decrease significantly unless you can get an exceptional price on it.

IMO, the 07 you are looking should be in the $20-22K unless it is a Rubi with a HT.

Yeah that is way high. I just spent a lot of time looking and recently bought a 2010 rubicon unlimited.

Here is a link to a 2008 Rubi already setup and ready to rumble for not much more!! cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Wrangler-Rubicon-2008-Jeep-Wrangler-Unlimited-Rubicon-Lifted-/180503892923?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=i tem2a06ded3bb[/url]
