Help decipher invoice!!
Out of all the times I checked invoice price on Edmunds, consumer reports, etc. I have never seen these charges. Can someone tell me what they mean and if they are negotiable or are they costs similiar to Destination charge that you just have to suck up and pay.
The items are:
Mid-Atlantic CPJ DAA $280.00
Mid-Atlantic CPJ PPA $160.00
Thanks for any insight provided.

For what little it is worth -- I've been working with a dealer this afternoon (and they won't fax the invoice -- I'll have to see it in person) -- they come about $721 higher for an invoice price than Edmunds shows on an Unlimited Sahara -- gonna be these random port fees or some crap (I'm in NJ so used to random high fees/taxes)...

I would not trust a dealer if the will not show the invoice. They ahve absolutely nothing to hide if they are telling the truth.
Edmunds includes the destination charge but it doesnt include these other charges such as 25 for owner loyalty mail; 14 for 5 gallons of gas; 280 for CPJ DAA; or 160 for CPJ PPA.
I have seen the same on both of the invoices I have reviewed. They are different across the country (mine says Phoenix) but the reading I did and talking with the dealer(s) they are non-negotiable advertising fees charged by Chrysler. The price of the Jeep is negotiable but this is part of the "invoice" price.
I have read where the dealer took it off for a few people but really the dealer just adjusted numbers, reduced the price or ?? to make the customer happy...

I had the same thing. DC Rewards "build and price" showed $1800 savings on mine, but I only saved about 1200.....I went back to the dealer, they showed me the invoice, and there was 500 or so added on for something I had never heard of. I think it's for "advertising costs" or something? That's BS...I ordered mine....no ad needed, and that $660 shipping seemed like plenty to begin with. I only live a friggin' hour from the Plant!!! Anyhow, I contacted DC Rewards, and Chrysler, repeatedly, to find out what my actual factory invoice WAS...the PP price (supplier discount) I know they altered the damn invoice to add those charges, but NO ONE will discuss what the PP price was on the factory invoice. Some biatch at Chrysler got downright snippy with me, saying that they don't control what dealers sell for. Unfortunately, the DC Rewards site shows the PP price that is the MAXIMUM that the dealer is allowed to charge....yet they won't tell me what it was from the factory! frickin' a$$holes!!

I went for a month asking them to make a certain deal. Didn't really care how they did it. As long as the numbers worked out.
I had mine picked out and had watched it travel from dealership to dealership. I got many different prices from diff dealerships and different dealers. I got into a debate with one particular dealer and he gave me the " invoice" which was all lop-sided printed, I laughed and told him " sure, this is from Chrystler"
Then I met my dealer Ken Foss who gave me the deal I wanted. Said it was a steal and that the other guy told him he was working me to another deal and that he shouldnt have done that.
I smiled and told him" I wouldn't of taken it. " simple as that.
Mind you this was a few months ago. When no one wanted to go under MSRP. Call Bs. Get the deal u want. I know it's hard cus I really wanted the JK, but it's not a necessity, its toy. A fun, tough, awesome toy!
Or if you live in the area go to ken foss from Irvine from or Jeff from Don A Vee.
Good Luck.
