Default Help I have got a problem!!!

I have never regretted getting an X, I love my JK don't get me wrong.

It is so capable off road it has done more than I have felt comfortable doing with no problem. I am sooooo excited about getting the mods I want over the next few years.

BUT, I have switched jobs and now have to drive right passed a jeep dealership everyday sometimes 4 or more times, and they have the front of their lot loaded with tricked out jeeps, lifted with 37's wenched logo'd just making me nuts!!!!

These are only a small sample not actual.

I am getting so anxious to get new tires a lift wench lights glovers oh my gosh I am getting wound up. lol

I am contemplating selling stuff just to buy something,

why cant they put all the little jeeps with 15's up front so I feel like mine is the shit again.

What advice do you have for me so I dont dip into my daughters college fund (just kidding of course) and ideas to help me wait a few months for money for mods.

By the way after drooling over the photo's I just posted I noticed I love both of those sets of tires does anyone know what they are and if they would have a size that would fit my 17" stock wheels???

this is driving me crazy lol

Edit; I see the second set is bfgoodrich a/t -- I still don't know if either would fit on my stock wheels, I like that wide look.

Well, this should make you change your mind...

The Jeeps you're seeing with all the goodies on them at the dealer are gonna be WAY WAY WAY overpriced....you would pay 3 prices if you traded for one of those I bet. But, if you just wanted to upgrade yours then that's completely do-able for not much money...

-- 2.5" Budget Boost like Teraflex or Rough Country: the RC starts at about $139
-- 285/70R17 tires (ProComp Xtreme MT is the one in the first picture) should be around $900

So for around $1000 you could be sittin' higher with some beefier tires....that'd be a good start!

Are those installed prices for both, the dealership quoted me like 280.00 for a 2 inch boost they said was like , i think rubber boots at the top of the shocks or something, I am not sure I don't work on stuff?

Does that sound like the same type of lift?

Would those tires work off road on my jeep without a lift?

Yamaha, Are those the tera grapplers on your jk pics with the chrome wheels?

If so what size are they, would they fit on my stock rims - would they rub with no lift, how much generally are they?

I like your tires alot!!

No, the Rough Country 2.5" lift is $139 for just the lift which consists of 4 coil spring spacers that sit on top of the coil springs (basically what the dealer told you) and shock extensions that re-position the shocks back where they should be after the Jeep is lifted so you don't loose any flex in the suspension....it honestly is one of the easiest things I've done to a vehicle, I was a little scared to tackle it myself but I'm glad I did because I can't see paying anyone more than about $50 for them to do it. It took me about an hour and a half to do mine by myself.

The tires are gonna vary depending on if you order them online or get them at a local shop....sometimes if you can get some you like at a local shop you can save some money on the shipping and what not. That's something you'll just have to check around on I guess.

Try the FAQ about the tires and suspension stuff, it may help you decide a little better....

Default Patience is a virtue.

Sometimes it pays not to be in to big of hurry. You will be much more likely to get everything right the first time and save yourself a ton of money.
