Default Help me choose a new Bumper!

I'm currently using the Bestop oversized tire carrier with 35" KM2 tires. I'm pretty happy with my carrier but a bumper mounted carrier would be nice if it integrated with the gate. The one caveat is the rack. I don't want it to look goofy hanging off the side.

Depends on the money you want to spend. The Expedition One is still one of my favorites

AEV makes one...but you're looking at about $1500 for that. You could also go with the Teraflex tire carrier and then pick out any bumper you want.

I like it as well. I have their basic DX on the front.

Their stuff is pricey, but top of the line IMO. I am very happy with my core series front bumper. I had talked to them at one point, and they were considering making a core series mid width rear bumper and carrier. I'm hoping it still may be in the works, and would be willing to wait for it if so.

Um, hate to break it to you, but it already does look goofy, especially with that photon torpedo launcher thing you've got hanging way out back behind the spare tire. Seriously though, Poison Spyder makes a good rear bumper and tire carrier that is worth looking at.

I've been lurking through Northridge's website for a while trying to make a similar decision. I'm not positive if I want it attached to the tail gate or independent swing away. Is there a plus/minus to either of these styles?
( hope I'm not stealing your thread, this is a question I've been wanting to ask for a few days)

To bolt your rack's downrails you'll need a full width rear, which the Expedition One is. here's mine

Biggest plus is just ease of use, being able to open everything at once. Biggest minus, is there are only a handful of companies making them, so depending on what you go with, it won't usually be cheap.

I think that's my favorite. I worry too much about how the rack will look. PS and Expedition One are on too so far. Yeah it's goofy but I need my rack and quit picking on my grill.
