i say if for had the little bit more go to a dealer that sells modified jeeps that are brands new.. so that way you can trade in the truck, get a jeep that has mods sure you might not get everything you want in the mods but at least you have a warranty on the mods you get ..IMO

if you can't do that then go with a new trade in and slowly mod it..

trouble is, no dealers in my area sell dealer lifted jeeps. I did find a dealer in Utah that has some really nicely lifted JKs... and they actually gave me the best trade in number. And, a drive to Utah and back from NY might be a pretty fun trip.

too many damn choices to think about... just wanna wake up, have my Ram gone and have this sitting in the driveway...

call up burnsville offroad from my understanding they are a jeep dealer that does mods and will ship the vehicle to your door step... (Hopefully they be able to talk to the dealer (dealer to dealer agreements) closer to where you live and work out a deal or something

yeah, Doug Smith dealership here in American Fork, Utah sells mod jeeps. They put in Tera Flex lifts i think. i almost bought from them. look at them if you haven't yet and if you're still wanting to come all the way out here. it could be a fun pretty drive back.

The dealer I was looking at on line was Watt's Automotive... But I'll check them out too. I wouldn't mind a nice road trip... would be awesome actually.

Watts isn't too bad. they always have some type of jeep on their lot. sometimes i think they've been over priced, but they're a good dealership that sells a lot of trucks. They're just down the road from doug smith.

Pollard Jeep in Boulder CO has a large inventory at the moment and they do lifted jeeps. I stopped there on Sat to look at one for my kids. The sales person was in the "I'll show you the invoice and then get you discounts" mode.

Your really just fooling yourself if you think by buying a used "pre-modded" JK will save you money. Anyone on this Forum will attest that owning any type of Jeep demands constant upgrading. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
