Default Help With Painting Grill!

I just ordered this black shark grill off of someone, I think it’ll look nice on my red
jeep with how I’m thinking of customizing it. I want to repaint it a glossy black and add some red tones into it kind of how the Bloody Black shark grill looks like buuuuttt not exactly. I just don’t know what paints/primers/whatever tf else I need to use. Help with recommendations please?

A Double Welcome to The Forum for both our Newbies ! Best source for info, IMO, would be a body shop on what the prep process would be and what procedure/paint to use. You should check youtube for some videos on painting plastic.

Painting plastic and getting it to stick over the long term is the issue. Be sure and use paint meant for plastic (Krylon) or better yet use a plastic adhesion promoter under your topcoat paint. Sand lightly using scotchbrite pads this will keep scratches to a minimum. I used plasti-drip paint the kind that peels off. Also used this same type paint in the rear wheel wells after removing the wheel liner. It has held up quite well.
